Why Virat Kohli Vs Anderson is unfair contest

Virat Kohli Vs James Anderson, has been tipped as contest of the series by cricketing pundits all across the world. This has much to do with Virat Kohli's unlucky last tour where he average around 19 in 4 test match series.

So this time also experts believe that James Anderson will make mince meat of Virat Kohli, even though Kohli is ranked number 1 ICC test match player at the moment with proven record in Australia, South, Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and everywhere else (except England before the start of the series).

It is some contest in eyes of  former Indian batsmen Sanjay Manjrekar. In fact one may argue the reason why Virat Kohli's poor tour is still fresh in cricket fans memory, despite kohli's stupendous run in test cricket since then, is because we have been constantly reminded by former India players and commentators of that horror tour. It'slike no matter how good Kohli has been, it is mandatory for critics of Indian cricket (indian themselves) to put a…

Why Virat Kohli Should Not Have Defended MS Dhoni Slow Batting

In the ongoing ODI cricket series between India and England, India lost the 2nd one day international cricket match to hosts England, match playedat lords cricket ground in London despite dominating 90 percent of the match.,

Chasing 322 set by England, India got bowled out for 236 runs. At one stage the target looked within reach, especially when captain Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina were batting together.

Virat kohli fell for 45 runs to Moeen Ali off break bowl which kept a bit low and came slowly off the pitch to trap great batsmen LBW. Dhoni  came to bat and played in such a manner that clearly did not please the Indian supporters in crowd and was booed off the ground,  after which Kohli had to defend him in presentation.

When Kohli lost the wicket India needed 182 runs from 23 overs. That is 182 runs from 138 runs with 7 wickets remaining in kitty. In this day and age of fast slam bang cricket, aided with smaller boundaries, flat wickets, and filed restrictions,  most teams in the…

Beware of Those Empathizing with Crying Steve Smith

Use of sandpaper by Australian cricketers to alter the ball condition by rubbing it on it - now called the "sandpaper gate" has already resulted in few casualties.

Steve Smith (captain of australia cricket team) and David Warner are banned for 1 year from playing cricket. Darren Lehman, the controversial coach has resigned as this article is being written. These guys won't participate in 2018 IPL edition too.
In his press conference, admitting the sin, Steve Smith cried. While one can understand Smiths emotional state, what has been intriguing is some of the Indians who have also shed their tears along with him, and asking cricket Australia to forgive him.

While there has been no statement from Virat Kohli on Twitter Facebook or Instagram related to ball tampering controversy, quite a few cricketers have spoken their mind.
Ravichandran Ashwin has just tweeted : "The world simply wants to see you cry, once you have cried they will feel satisfied and live happily eve…

One Record Virat Kohli Must Go For

Virat Kohli is the modern run machine. Every time indian cricket captain takes the field records starts to tumble. There are many virat kohli records which his fans are extremely proud of, but there is 1 cricketing record, a batting record, which Virat Kohli must go for, for if he is able to achieve it he will be extremely proud of himself.

We know Virat Kohli doesn't care about records. It happens for him.He is one of those record breakers who breaks and runs, and finds a next record standing hopelessly in front of him so that he can  break it. Breaking records seems to have become a second nature for him. You think about a cricketing record and you will find virat kohli chasing it, or very close to breaking it.

Virat has made so many records that breakdown of all his records will need a separate article. But here is 1 record which virat kohli must go for and something which we want to discuss about.

Record for Maximum Number of Runs in a Single Tour: So far virat kohli has amass…

Rohit Sharma: Indian Cricket Sixer King

India have won the One Day International Series (ODI series) convincingly against South Africa. In 5th match of the momentum series India's opening batsmen made a scintillating hundred which included 4 humongous sixes.

Watch out for:the list of top ten six hitters of Indian team in this article.

One of the six hit by Rohit Sharma was of world's fastest bowler (at least as per biased commentators) which landed on the road out of stadium.

Rohit Sharma, who is the only player to have scored double centuries in limited overs cricket, charged kagiso rabada of South Africa and smashed the ball delivered by him out of park.

Rohit hit 3 more sixes and by doing so he became India's second highest 6 hitters in international game. He is only behind MS Dhoni. Given the form he is in, and struggling MS Dhoni, one can say Rohit is on the verge of becoming sixer king of Indian cricket.

Most people believe that Rohit has a natural ability to lift the ball and hit it outside the ground. He…

MS Dhoni Has No Role in Virat Kohli's Success As Captain

Virat Kohli is doing great job as captain of Indian cricket team. His performances and shrewd captaincy has lifted India to number 1 position among all the teams in world, but credit is being given more to MS dhoni, the former captain.

Tendency of discrediting Virat Kohli whenever team wins and blaming him when team loose (very rare these days) is not new. It's been going on for a while. Ever since kohli has taken over captaincy from MS Dhoni, when the latter decided to retire in the middle of tough australian tour, critics has been busy ridiculing kohli's captaincy for one reason or the other.

All this criticism despite being crystal clear that Virat Kohli is best captain ever is something difficult to understand.

Critics of Kohli include former great batsmen of India, Virendar Sehwag and VVS Laxman. Both of them have been heard multiple times while doing commentary saying that credit should go to MS Dhoni for handing over Virat Kohli this team which knows how to win. Sehwag…

Ravindra Jadeja or Axar Patel - Who should be part of Indian Cricket Team?

Currently Indian Cricket team is doing very well, especially in ODI cricket. The team is settled, so much so that they are playing couple of spin bowlers even in overseas matches.

The two spinners Indian team seems to have banked on for bringing them success are Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Both are wrist spinners. Both are picking up plenty of wickets for India. Indian cricket team is winning matches. There seems to be no problem at all.

But there is another spinner in a squad selected to play ODI cricket. It is left arm spinner. And he is not Ravindra Jadeja but Axar Patel.

Why this is so?

Why Axar patel is being selected ahead of a proven performer Ravindra Jadeja? Is Axar better than Jadeja or is it just one of those decisions that when you need to sack one player, you go ahead and sack his partner too. Because than sacking looks much more logical and also satisfies supporters of one of the players being sacked.

Both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja had performances…
