hate loosing, love playing for India - Virat Kohli
Indian cricket team having spend more than 2 months in Australia displayed performance of high quality. They were clinical from start to finish. Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat at Adelaide oval. But wicket was not as flat as he hoped before the start.

The two paced nature of the wicket meant that the openers needed to bat cautiously against the disciplined Pakistan attack.

India got off to a good start with both Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan rotating singles and running well between the wickets. Irafan Khan, the tall pakistani bowler, extracted good bounce from the pitch and trouble Shikhar Dhwan a bit with high rising ball. But the opening batsmen played out the spell will good technique and concentration and even hooked Irfan for a mighty six later.

Rohit got out trying to up the scoring rate. Then the best batsmen in the world, Virat Kohli, took the center stage. None of the Pakistan bowlers was able to leave an impression on him. Kohli, just 26 years of age, batted splendidly to score a brilliant century. He was ably supported by ever exciting Suresh Raina who scored a brisk half century to knock the stuffing out of Pakistan  cricket team. India amassed score of 300 runs.

Chasing 301 for victory, Pakistan never got going. They took the Indian bowling lightly, Most media reports suggested that Indian bowling attack is poor. But much to everyone's surprise Indian bowlers ran in hard and bowled with extreme speeds. This was illustrated in the dismissal of Younus Khah who failed to control the sharp delivery from Mohammad Shami and was caught by MS Dhoni.

Umesh Yadav later broke the back of Pakistan batting line up by picking up two quick wickets in single over. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, the two spin bowlers of India, tighhtened the screws further as Pakistan collapsed to their worst defeat against India in all World Cups. India won the match by 76 runs, and Virat Kohli was declared man of the match. India will take on South Africa in Pool-B match on Sunday, Feb 22 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
