If you have to pick a consistent performer in Indian Team, after Virat Kohli, it has to be the all rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Averaging 36 with bat and 24 with ball with over 200 wickets and close to 2000 runs in test match cricket, ravindra jadeja is among the top all rounders playing game of cricket.

Often demeaned as someone with only a strong throwing arm and quick legs on the field, Sir Ravindra Jadeja in last few years has stood up in Individual roles as batsmen and a bowler.

Much talked about South African series, not the one in 2019 but one before that played in India, Jadeja scored consistent crucial runs on pitches where even likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Hashim Amla, and AB De Villers didn't seem to have a clue, how to bat on.

The five feet seven inch allrounder from Saurashtra got  appreciation from likes of great Shane Warne, who got a name "rockstar" from Australian leg spinner, much to irk the local cricket analysts whose sole purpose is to demean the current set of players.

When these current players retire, they will criticize the players playing at that time comparing them to retired players. Sorry state of affairs!

It's absolutely no gamble playing Jadeja at number 6. Although, going by current Indian team captain Virat Kohli, the team selection is solely depends upon the match and pitch conditions. Rightly so.

Even if conditions are fast bowler friendly, one can imagine India going at least with one spinner. It will be good if India play with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja both, as we have see both of them in past fighghting bravely for India, especially overseas where likes of Pujara and even Ajinkya Rahane have surrendered meekly.

It is absolutely necessary to play these two tough horses because already conspirators have started to create environment against Rishabh Pant (the young keeper who got century on his very first tour to Australia, country with flat yet hostile bowlers), and instead backing Wriddhiman Saha, an average keeper with useless batting technique.

In that case India's tail will start after 4 batsmen in 11, which India cannot afford. Hence India must look to play Ravindra jadeja as allrounder even overseas.
